Stoli Elit

Stolichnaya (Russian: "capital (vodka)") is a Russian vodka produced from winter wheat in Russia's oldest distillery, using pure glacial waters. It is filtered through quartz sand, then activated charcoal, and finally through woven cloth. It is affectionately called Stoli.

Created for vodka connoisseurs who appreciate quality, uniqueness and luxury, Elit is described as having a "soft pleasing aroma with a hint of cream and butter." It delivers a soft, round taste with a touch of sweetness and a clean finish with no burn.

A patented filtration process yields a vodka of astonishing smoothness. Stoli Elit is filtered at sub-zero temperatures which helps release impurities making it smoother than traditional vodkas.

Stolichnaya elit's distillation and patented freeze filtration processes simulate a more rudimentary filtration process once used by the Russian Czars. Historically, vodka served to the Czars would be stored outdoors in barrels during the winter. This would freeze imperfections and leave the purest cut of the vodka to be poured directly from the barrel.

Today, the freeze filtration processes patiently remove significant impurities from the alcohol. elit's time-consuming distillation and freeze filtration processes limits how much is produced -- as well as the quality of the ingredients used in its production.
